ACT Roads Batter Stabilisation

This was a risk minimisation project for unstable batters around the ACT including inside the Namadgi park. A wide range of methods was used to address the individual requirements of each site, including:

  • Batter scaling
  • Shotcreting of undercuts and hollows
  • Rock bolting
  • Rock meshing
  • Installation of energy absorbing fencing
  • Maintenance to existing drainage
  • Development of spoil sites as not to interfere with surrounding environment
  • Construction of signage and rectification of existing road furniture
  • Traffic management
